Description
Photographed using a 100mm macro lens with focus-stacking technique (32 frames merged) to achieve complete depth of field across the entire cluster, this image renders the optical properties of natural quartz — the internal fractures, the subtle phantom inclusions, and the prismatic reflections within each hexagonal column — with scientific precision. The black velvet ground was chosen to eliminate all reflected light from the background, allowing only the crystal’s self-generated internal light effects to illuminate the dark areas between the prisms. The image has strong commercial resonance with luxury wellness, beauty, and crystal healing brands as well as geological and mineralogical educational applications. Supplied as 300 DPI TIF and JPEG at 50 megapixels effective resolution.
