The monsoon season in Ranthambore, Rajasthan, is among the most challenging conditions for wildlife photography in India — humidity exceeding 95%, constant rain showers, poor vehicle access on saturated tracks, and camera equipment management in continuous moisture. This photograph, made during a rain shower in August, captures the female known as Noor T-39 crossing a clearing in the light rain — her orange and black coat darkened by water saturation, the drops of rain on her facial whiskers catching the diffuse overcast light.
