Description
The Geirangerfjord in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway, is one of the world’s most celebrated fjord landscapes — a 15km arm of deep blue seawater bounded by vertical walls of glacially polished gneiss rising to over 1,400m on both sides, with the famous Seven Sisters and Suitor waterfalls cascading directly from the cliff tops. This aerial photograph, made from a drone at 600m altitude above the fjord water surface, captures the full depth and scale of the fjord — the extraordinary blue of the deep cold water, the white of the waterfall cascades, the green of the sub-cliff vegetation zone, and the bare grey rock above.
