Dust Storm Rising — Saharan Particulate Study

339.00 د.إ

A haboob dust wall approaching a desert settlement at sunset — the atmosphere turned copper and bronze as suspended particulate transforms the light into something geological.

Description

Photographed in the Libyan desert during a seasonal haboob event, this image captures the frontal boundary of a dust storm as it approaches a scattered settlement — the wall of suspended Saharan sand reaching an estimated 400 metres in height and transforming the sunset light into a copper-bronze atmosphere of extraordinary density and warmth. The image was made from a position 2km ahead of the storm front using a telephoto lens to compress the distance and maximise the apparent scale of the dust wall relative to the silhouetted settlement buildings. The photograph has been exhibited in documentary photography contexts but also has significant commercial appeal in atmospheric branding for cosmetics, fashion, and travel communications.
